Major League Pickleball Shakes Up 2025 Schedule With Daytona Beach, Salt Lake City Venue Updates

Major League Pickleball (MLP) has unveiled significant updates to its 2025 schedule, including a return to Daytona Beach, Florida, for the first time since 2023. Daytona Beach To Host June Event

Originally slated for Salt Lake City, Utah, the MLP event scheduled for June 5-8 will now be held at Pictona in Daytona Beach, FL. The venue shift marks MLP’s first appearance in Daytona Beach since 2023, bringing the sport back to one of its iconic locations.

However, this event will focus exclusively on professional play, with no amateur competition planned.

Salt Lake City To Host July Event

Meanwhile, the July 31-August 3 event originally planned for St. Petersburg, FL will now take place in Salt Lake City, Utah. In contrast to Daytona Beach, this event will include an amateur competition, providing local players with the opportunity to showcase their skills alongside the pros.

The change in venue is a direct response to delays in the construction of the St. Petersburg venue, which was not completed in time to accommodate the scheduled event.

Phoenix Event Adjustments

Additionally, MLP has revised the match grid for its Phoenix event to allocate more matches to Toray Championship Court and ensure an earlier conclusion on Sunday. This adjustment aims to streamline the event schedule and optimize the viewing experience for fans and players alike.

Austin Remains On Track

Despite these adjustments, the upcoming MLP event in Austin, Texas, is unaffected by the recent changes. The competition is set to proceed as planned from May 23-26 at Austin Pickle Ranch, promising intense action and high-stakes matches as the league continues to heat up.

Looking Ahead

With these strategic venue changes, MLP is aiming to maintain its reputation for delivering world-class events while adapting to logistical challenges. As the season progresses, fans can expect more thrilling matchups, dynamic court action, and a continued push to elevate the sport of pickleball on a national stage.

Stay tuned for further updates as MLP’s 2025 season unfolds, bringing the excitement of pickleball to new locations and broader audiences.
