What You'll Work On

The course introduces the core skills and game knowledge you need to start playing pickleball with confidence.

Serve & Return Build reliable serves and returns so you can start points consistently.

Groundstrokes Learn the basic forehand and backhand techniques used throughout a pickleball rally.

Dinking Develop control around the kitchen and learn how the soft game works.

Volleys Learn how to handle the ball confidently when playing closer to the net.

Positioning Understand where to stand, when to move forward and how to work with a doubles partner.

Rules & Scoring Learn the key rules and scoring so you can confidently join a real game.

Two Structured Classes

Your course consists of two Saturday lessons, with each class running for two hours.

Progressive Coaching Skills are introduced progressively so that each session builds on what you have learned.

Adult Group Lessons are part of a full Saturday programme at Play! Pickle @ St Patrick's School.

8–10 AM Saturday DUPR

Rated play across three courts. $20 per participant.

12–2 PM Community Open Play

Social match play across three sheltered courts. $20 per participant.

2–3 PM Junior Development

Weekly 1-hour class for ages 8–12. $240 for four classes or $65 drop-in.
