This 4-class beginner course is designed to get you playing with confidence—fast. With small-group coaching (max 6 participants per class), you’ll get plenty of personalised feedback, more touches on the ball, and clear progression each week.

What you’ll be able to do by the end
By Class 4, you’ll be able to:
Serve and return consistently (and legally)
Rally with control from the baseline and at the kitchen
Understand the “kitchen” (non-volley zone) and how to play it
Move up the court with better footwork and balance
Play a structured doubles game with basic positioning and tactics
What you’ll learn (Class-by-Class)
Class 1: Fundamentals & Control
Build a strong foundation so your shots feel reliable.
You’ll learn:
Basic rules, scoring, and court zones (including the kitchen)
Grip, ready position, and clean contact on the ball
Forehand and backhand groundstrokes for consistency
Introduction to soft shots (dinks) at the kitchen
Class 2: Serve, Return & Point Basics
Learn how points start—and how to set yourself up to win them.
You’ll learn:
Serving technique + placement (where to aim and why)
Returning with depth and recovering into position
The “third shot” concept (drop vs drive) and when to use each
Simple patterns that make doubles feel less chaotic
Class 3: Kitchen Skills & Transitioning Up the Court
This is where pickleball starts to feel “real.”
You’ll learn:
Dinking fundamentals: control, patience, and direction changes
Volleys: blocking vs punching (how to handle fast balls)
Resets from mid-court (softening hard shots back into play)
Footwork and positioning to move from baseline to kitchen safely
Class 4: Doubles Positioning & Game Play
Put it all together and start playing with confidence.
You’ll learn:
Doubles positioning (moving together, covering the middle)
Communication cues (“mine / yours / switch”)
Shot selection: when to attack vs when to reset or dink
Guided match play with coaching feedback so you know what to improve next
Class size & coaching format
Max 4 participants per class (small group = more reps + more feedback)
Beginner-friendly drills, clear progressions, and guided gameplay
